After another hour of travel, I was at, well, Connecticut. Though I’m sure not in Westport. But here’s where the adventure begins.

Finally I decided to rest. I saw an alleyway and ran towards it. But what I saw was horrible. A Laistrygonian Giant had a girl cornered. She had spiky black hair and electric blue eyes. If it had not been the cuts on her arms, and her terrified look, though somewhat confident, she would’ve been pretty.

I ran towards the monster, holding my knife. I stabbed it on its left eye and jumped backwards to avoid being slashed to pieces. That was the good part. The bad part was, the giant turned its eye on me. I signaled the girl to run, but she wouldn’t. Instead she brandished a spear from nowhere, tapped her bracelet, and out came a shield. I don’t know why she’s not holding them a while ago. But I didn’t have time to worry about that. All it did to me was getting hit on the head by the monster. The girl ran forward and, she’s unbelievable. She slashed and hacked, dodged with incredible speed. She’s no older than me, but it seemed that she was trained already. I got up to my feet and helped her, now braver than before. Finally, she hit the giant with her spear and I stabbed it on the leg. It then exploded to nothing but yellow dust.

Exhausted, we fell to our knees. Then we looked at each other and she said,”Hi. It’s Thalia. Daughter of Zeus.
